Head of the Department: prof. Slavica Moslavac
The Ethnographic Department of the Moslavina Museum marked its 38th anniversary of its research and publishing activities in 2001. From the first scholarly and research papers in 1963 (the head of the project was Nada Getvaj from the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb) to this day the Museum has undergone frequent changes in professional staff - ethnologists - as well as changes in the holdings and the space in which it is housed. The Department has more than 2000 inventory units: textiles, wood, clay, metal and straw objects. The permanent ethnographic exhibition presents the cultivation and processing of wheat, the architecture and design of family plots, interior architecture, headdresses and jewellery, folk costumes and spiritual culture.
